Privacy
Control how long personal data is kept and when it gets anonymized automatically.
To comply with data protection regulations (like GDPR), Eventyflow can automatically anonymize personal data after a set retention period.
What you can do
- Set a retention period between 30 and 1,095 days (up to 3 years). You choose the period yourself based on your compliance requirements.
- Automatic anonymization is always active — it cannot be turned off.
How it works
- Forms linked to an event: Personal data is anonymized after the event ends, based on your retention period.
- Standalone forms (no event): Personal data is anonymized after submission, based on your retention period.
- Related records: Comments, reactions, old access links, and saved response history follow the same retention logic as the record they belong to.
What gets anonymized
Personal data in events, form responses, comments, and related records is replaced with anonymous placeholders or removed. This includes:
- Names
- Email addresses
- Phone numbers
- Addresses
- Custom text fields containing personal data
- Comment text and author details
- Old access links for forms
What stays
Non-personal data remains intact for your statistics and records:
- Event name and date
- Product selections
- Room bookings
- Amounts and totals
Good to know
- Anonymization cannot be undone. Once removed, personal data is gone permanently.
- Anonymized records still count toward your statistics, but all personal details are stripped.
